JOIN THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF ALBUQUERQUE
Are you interested in becoming a member of the Junior League of Albuquerque?
The Junior League of Albuquerque (JLA) has been working to make a positive impact on our community since 1948. Through voluntarism, training and financial support, we've helped develop treasured community centers, special opportunities for kids and families and valuable educational programs that improve the quality of life in Albuquerque.

Hundreds of women from all races, religions and walks of life make up the JLA. Our members are accomplished collaborators who build coalitions, identify community needs, and develop effective and responsive programs to serve these needs. We've been the driving force behind many important community projects including the Ronald McDonald House, the New Mexico Museum of National History and Explora Museum.

We support our charitable efforts by selling two award-winning cookbooks and through special event fundraisers during the year.

Why Join the JLA?
There are as many good reasons to join the JLA as there are members. The JLA empowers women through personal growth and leadership training to take action in their community. In fact, many JLA members, who are also community leaders, claim that their success is due, in part, to their experience in the League.

The JLA provides specific training opportunities, including boardsmanship, interpersonal communication, fundraising and parliamentary procedure and more, to prepare each member for volunteer work in the League and within the greater volunteer community. Members also use their skills and gain new ones while working on different committees within the JLA including: event planning, project research and development, marketing and more.

We have fun, too. JLA members enjoy year round social functions, participate in special interest groups and make friendships that last a lifetime.

Interested women are encouraged to obtain membership information by contacting our league office.
